Macaroni au gratin

A delicious food from the french cuisine, that is baked with bread crumbs or cheese on top. The quantity that I have mentioned here will serve two people, but every time this is prepared, it is always happily gorged on by a single person.
1.Macaroni - 100 gms
2. Onion - 1
3. Tomato - 1
4. Green Capsicum - 1
5. Tomato Sauce - 1tbsp
6. Butter - 1 tbsp
7. Cheese - 2 cubes
8. Chilly flakes, Salt and Pepper to taste

For the White sauce
1. Butter - 1tbsp
2. Flour ( maida) - 1tbsp
3. Milk - 150ml
4. Salt and pepper to taste

White sauce: 
1. Melt the butter in a pan, add the flour and stir on low heat for a minute or so, add the milk and stir continuously without any lumps, until the sauce is thick. Add salt and pepper to taste and set it aside.

2. Cook macaroni as per instructions in the pack and let it cool. 
3. Heat the butter in a pan, add chopped onion, saute for a minute. Add chopped capsicum, stir until it is cooked, add cooked macaroni, tomato sauce, white sauce and mix well. 
4. Add the chopped tomato, chilly flakes , salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Turn off the heat.
5. Transfer to a greased baking dish. Cover it with grated cheese and bake at 180 degree c for 30 to 35 minutes or until it is light brown on top. Serve hot.
